How To Get Suds Out Of Your Dishwasher

This isn’t really a foodie post, but dishes are most definitely related to food. Needless to say, we had a bit of a dishwasher mishap earlier today.

My daughter loaded the dishwasher, and somehow managed it get dishwashing liquid into the machine. We aren’t sure if she thought it would be interesting to use dishwashing liquid in the dishwasher and just didn’t want to admit it, or if she didn’t rinse off a dish she’d scrubbed very well, and that’s how she got the wrong liquid into the dishwasher. (For the record, I mentioned to her that if you scrub a dish with dishwashing liquid, when you’re done, it’s clean…)

Some time later, we noticed suds growing from underneath the door of the dishwasher.

At first, I wasn’t sure what to do.

But then I remembered that the lady who does my pedicures uses oil to stop the bubbles from climbing up my calves.

Hmmmm… What kind of oil does one have in the kitchen that can be dispersed across all the bubbles without me having to use my hands.

Cooking spray!

I sprayed the cookies spray onto the bubbles and waited. A few minutes later, all the bubbles were gone. Whew!
